This bulb is pretty much junk. I replaced my projector lamp and serviced if for dust using compressed air in a can. Nothing special or really anything of note but when I turned on the projector with this replacement bulb I am seeing faint white spots outside of the picture area. Some research has informed me that these spots are due to the bulb having imperfections in the glass.
If you are someone that actually cares about picture quality I would walk on by this listing and purchase a proper replacement.

Note: Some of the stamped metal pieces (the thing frame for the glass and the the inlet on the side) had been deformed. I gently corrected the sloppy work before installation to match the bulb that came out but.... I guess you get what you pay for man.

Put decent money in your bulb and you will get a decent picture out of your bulb. Do not buy this unless you just don't really care.

PJD5133 ViewSonic PJD5133 SVGA DLP Projector

Before this one we bought the FAVI RIO 2 projector and in comparison that one was like a children's toy. You couldn't set it up right. The resolution was way off, color non existent, and you couldn't use it for anything except movies. Forget about computer presentations. The letters were blurry and muddy.

To tell you the truth I was afraid we were not going to find a projector to suit our needs under a $1,000.

None of those were a problem for the Viewsonic. Granted this review is after a very short period of time. If it changes I will update this. However, as of right now, this projector is as good, if not better than the one I have at work which probably cost more than a $1,000. That one is a VieSonic as well but much bigger.
